Children who graduate from Royal Hope Academy Primary School long to go on to higher learning in Secondary School, which is equivalent to the American Junior High and High School grade levels. The guardians of these children cannot afford to pay the expensive school fees, much less pay for uniforms, school supplies, and lunch money. We know that only a primary level education has very limited opportunity for a young Ugandan. Sending our children on to secondary level education is vital for their intellectual development as well as their futures!
Through our sponsorship program, children in our Primary Seven class are able to go on to secondary school at a nearby school we have partnered with. Through our program, our children are provided with uniforms, book bags, textbooks, school supplies, school requirements, breakfast and lunch.
Royal Hope students, affectionately called “The Royals” become our children and part of the My Father’s House family. In order to keep up with their progress and to keep them as a part of our “family” throughout secondary school, they attend a discipleship class every Saturday where they are equipped with Biblical understanding and nurtured in their faith. Our hope is that they will also one day be leading future Royal Hope graduates in discipleship classes.
