We believe in the Great Commission as outlined in Matthew 28,
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We take seriously our responsibility to pour God’s truth into our children and to disciple them. At Royal Hope Academy, we have daily prayer and worship with our children where they cry out to the Living God on behalf of our school and ministry and for their own personal needs. On Fridays, the children participate and lead parts of a two hour church service. During this time they are taught the word of God and encouraged in their personal walk with the Lord. Many children receive Christ for the first time during this service as well. It is therefore our responsibility to ensure that they are learning the ways of the Lord. Most of them will not receive any Biblical teaching from their homes.
Children in our secondary program participate in a two-hour weekly discipleship class on Saturdays. The focus of this program is two-fold. Our first focus is to root and establish them in the truth concerning basic Christian beliefs such as theology and foundations of the faith. The second focus of this program is to teach them how to share their faith and how to answer questions about their faith. We want our children to be able to witness to non-believers in their schools and community. It is important that they grow up knowing that they can and should share their faith with others. We also take them through teachings and ministry for healing of the heart. We have seen many children set free of bondage during these powerful times. We also teach them about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and help them to activate their spiritual gifts.
Our hope is that these children will soon be leading their own small group discipleship classes and teaching these truths to younger sponsored secondary students. In this way, there will be a multiplication as disciples are made! We believe in pouring our lives into a few who will pour their lives into a few that the Kingdom of God may be advanced!
Our staff members also participate in a weekly discipleship class and devotional time with a similar curriculum and focus as our secondary students program.
