These are necklaces made by the beautiful women of Uganda.  These women are so creative and resourceful and have used recycled strips of magazine paper to make these gorgeous beads. These beads are purchased from these women in order to help them generate income for their businesses.  We then sell their handmade crafts in order to support the children receiving education at Royal Hope Academy!  These beads are very similar in feel to wooden beads.  They are durable and very high quality.  They are environmentally sound as they are recycled magazine paper.

These purses where made by Mama Rose, a woman living in an IDP Camp of Northern Uganda. She lives in extreme poverty in a mud hut with no running water or electricity.  Mama Rose lost her husband and several of her children to Uganda’s 22 year long civil war.  She is a creative resourceful woman who is overcoming!  Your purchase of one of these purses will support her business and help her to break free from the cycle of poverty.  The profits will also be used for the rescue and rehabilitation of orphans and war-affected children including quality Christian education at Royal Hope Academy.
